A TURNING POINT2011A response to a need.
The beginning of an idea.
02 / WHY NOGI EXISTS
Care packages.
A new purpose.
In the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, our founder sent care packages to evacuation shelters. The first cookies were made without eggs or dairy. She then began making and sending snacks without eggs, dairy or wheat.
That experience made a need clear: many people needed more choices when it came to snacks they could eat. It inspired NOGI’s move into rice-based snacks made without eggs, dairy or wheat.
More choices mattered.
Making it delicious mattered, too.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
A thoughtful choice.
With the details to match.
Where can I buy NOGI in the U.S.?
Shop our U.S. range on Amazon.com. Current prices, stock, delivery options and checkout are handled by Amazon. This page introduces NOGI; purchases take place on Amazon.
Visit our Amazon store ↗Are all NOGI snacks suitable for every food allergy?
No. Our snacks are gluten-free and plant-based, but contain soy; some also contain sesame or almonds. Our factory does not handle eggs, milk or wheat. This does not guarantee that a product is suitable for every allergy. Check the current product label and your individual needs before eating.
What does the One Table Project mean?
It expresses the purpose behind NOGI: creating more opportunities to enjoy snacks together, across different dietary needs and choices. We want taste, care and clear ingredient information to make those moments possible for more people.
What is behind NOGI’s approach?
Our experience sending snacks to evacuation shelters still shapes our work. We bring together production in Japan, a dedicated factory that does not handle eggs, milk or wheat, and flavors people can choose for enjoyment. That is the care we want each bag to represent.
